"Abby" is now owned by Steve Walthall of Texas. "Abby" had a beautiful black & white tobiano stud colt by "Alen's Coat of Color". "Abby" was acquired in January 2001. She is no stranger to people who regularly attend SSHBEA shows! In her short life, Abby has made quite a name for herself. In 1999, she was crowned World Champion Weanling Filly in a class of over 20. During 2000, she carried an undefeated record throughout the show season. At the SSHBEA Fall Show, Abby won the BLUE in the Yearling Sweepstakes class and was the Reserve World Grand Champion Yearling, tying second behind Yearling Stallion World Champion "Generator's Got Color".Abby was shown briefly as a two year old under the direction of Phil Dunivan Stables. She was shown at the 2001 SSHAK Fall Show where she was the Breeder's Cup Sweepstakes Two Year Old Open Champion. She was retired following that performance due to an injury sustained when she was a yearling that inhibited her performing at 'championship level'. So, upon the recommendation of our trainer - we retired our girl! We're glad to have her in our elite group of broodmares. Her offspring will acquire her great pedigree, gait, disposition and can claim that their dam was a two time World Champion and Reserve World Grand Champion. Abby's pedigree is tremendous. Her sire is 1995 SSHBEA World Grand Champion "Alen's Lethal Weapon." Her dam is a long-striding, black Pride's Gold Coin-bred Tennessee Walking Horse.
Abby is in foal to "Alen's Coat of Colors". A direct bay/white tobiano son of 'Spotted Alen Again'. He's got loads of natural gait, a wonderful disposition and great looks! She is due to foal in October of 2003.
